What's new on the Bryan Talbot fanpage

As has become traditional here on the Bryan Talbot fanpage, I have created a new "what's new" page for the New Year of 2003. All of the old what's new pages are still online, as I hate to ever delete content, and I always think they give people a fun non-linear way to browse through the site.

So - you can check out what was new in 2002, what was new in 2001, what was new in 2000, what was new in 1999, and what was new up to 1998.

Of course - this now means that I have been running this site for seven years! The mind just boggles! I have also found the newsgroup posting through Google that showed when I launched the site - in 1996! (by the way - that's an old address for the site in the posting that no longer works, - neither does that email address.)

Anyway - it remains an honour and privilege to help spread the word about Bryan's work, and so, presented below for your browsing pleasure is what's new on the site: Enjoy!

Sunday December 14th 2003
Added yet another new page into the new Alice in Sunderland gallery - page 28 and updated text gallery 6 and the image navigator page.

Saturday November 29th 2003
Added another new page into the new Alice in Sunderland gallery - page 10: updated text gallery 6 and the image navigator page.

Tuesday November18th 2003
Added the first new image into the new Alice in Sunderland gallery - page 7: also updated text gallery 6 and the image navigator page.

Sunday November 16th 2003
Created the new Alice in Sunderland homepage, and added the first item into it - the official press release.

Sunday November 9th 2003

Added two new pictures into thumbnail gallery 17 - a photo of Bryan with Terry Jones and Steve Bell and also the cover of the forthcoming Arkwright RPG. Also updated the image guide page and text gallery 6, and the news page.

Also added a new article into the articles section about Bryan writing Nightjar with Alan Moore, and also added links and comments to the exsting Yuggoth Cultures article and the two Nightjar pages - page 3 and page 4 - on the site.

Tuesday October 14th 2003
Added the Crystal Palace Exhibition 0f 1991 to the Emporium! Also added a link to the Bold as Love site on the links page, as well as on the image pages themselves - Bold as Love, Castles Made of Sand and Midnight Lamp. Also updated the news page with news about the radio script to the Advenures of Luther Arkwright getting bought.

Wednesday October 8th 2003
Added an image of Henry Phage the Teknophage in it's original black and white version, the coloured comic cover version, and then as usual I gave in to temptation and animated the transition between the two. (but watch out - at 850k it is a very large file.) I also obviously updated the image gallery the new pages live in - gallery 17 - and updated the text gallery and image guide page.

Monday September 15th 2003
Updated the news page, added a couple of new links and added a new interview into the interview page. Also added a new item into the Emporium - the Luther Arkwright roleplaying game! I also came to the conclusion that it is just about as cheap to post out the CD-Rom as it is to post the Arkwright Roleplaying game, and so decided to come up with the special offer of bundling the CD-Rom and the game together for a price of £30 and adding in a copy of the fanzine entitled "The Crystal Palace Exhibition of 1992" - published at the same time as the Valkyrie Press Arkwright edition: see the RPG page or the CD-Rom page in the emporium for more.

Tuesday September 9th 2003
Updated the interviews page with a new link to an excellent interview with Bryan, and also added the Luther Arkwright rolplaying game for sale in the Emporium!

Friday August 29th 2003
Updated the links page, and also the "what it's like to meet your hero" page where I talk about what it is like to meet your personal hero - which, if you've not already guessed, is what Bryan is to me - which is also pretty much why I do this site!

Wednesday August 27th 2003

Wednesday July 17th 2003
Updated the news page with a lot of snippets about Bryan's forthcoming signing sessions and most importantly news on the publication of Alice inSunderland.

Thursday June 26th 2003

Sigh - I always heave a soul deep sigh of resignation when another thumbnail gallery gets full... I can see the point, don't get me wrong: I am a passionate - nay, virulent! - believer in quick downloads: it's just that when I finally do succumb to the awful inevitability of it all, I just know I will land myself with a shedful of work.

Take today for example: Bryan sends me two new images: a new page from the once lost Nightjar Bryan Talbot and Alan Moore collaboration, and the cover to Yuggoth Cultures, another Bryan and Alan joint effort. So - to fit these in I have to create a completely new thumbnail gallery - number seventeen! - and also another new text gallery. Then I have to update the pre gallery page, and the image navigator page. Then I have to add the article Bryan sends me about the Yuggoth Cultures comic, and update the articles homepage - and also update the other Nightjar page I had on the site in thumbnail gallery three.

Why do I do it?! - well obviously I am kinda passionate about Bryan and his work.. and then again my birthday is coming up soon, and I am hoping Bryan'll read this and give me a good deal on some more original artwork!

Monday June 16th 2003
Added a picture of a fan's tattoo of a sketch Bryan did of a rat into the fan art gallery.

I also updated the news page, and added an old cover of Sinclair User into Gallery 16 that Bryan drew. (with the obligatory updates to the text gallery page and the image guide page.)

Monday April 22nd 2003
Updated the news page with info on the sketch Bryan has drawn for the Comics 2003 charity artwork auction, and also added the actual sketch of Luther into gallery 16; also added a sketch of Luther by Nick Neocleous into the fan art gallery, and updated the relevant text gallery and the image guide page.

I also added links into her homepage and online comics from the One Bad Rat homepage and the links page.

Friday March 28th 2003
I decidedto reduce the price of the Heart of Empire CD-Rom to only £20.00! - see the CD-Rom page in the Emporium for more details. (20 pounds sterling is approx 31 US dollars or 28 euros - and you can pay in any currency you want) Also updated the news page with some info about the reprinting of Brainstorm.

Monday March 24th 2003
Updated the news page with info on Bryan's attendance at a couple of festivals this year, and also the censored Fables page and also the interviews page.

Monday March 17th 2003

Bryan emailed me two images to add to the site, and I realised I needed to add a new thumbnail gallery to the site: so - thumbnail gallery sixteen is now online, and the two images also: Midnight Lamp, the frontispiece for Gwyneth Jones' latest novel in the Bold as Love series, and also a panel from Fables that Vertigo have unaccountably censored!

Of course, this mean actually creating thumbnail gallery sixteen, then updating the main gallery page, the image navigator page and text gallery five - as well as the other two Gwyneth Jones images, Bold as Love and Castles Made of Sand.

Added a new page to the emporium - the third page of artwork available for sale from the site. This page contains the original artwork of pages 69, 187, 197, 256 and 257 of Heart of Empire.

Saturday January 4th 2003
Added Harry Payne's review / essay on Luther Arkwirght, entitled "Brilliant Depravities", and also updated the articles homepage.

Wednesday January 1st 2003
Since it is New Years Day, and also because I am feeling slightly guilty about the too-long break from updating the site, I decided to splurge a little! Also therefore updated the image guide page and the relevant text gallery.
